Elite Team
LHDA is pleased to announce auditions for our Elite Performance & Competitive dance team and our Elite Apprentice Team! Elite offers dancers the opportunity to perform at various events right here in Lake Highlands and attend dance conventions and competitions across the DFW area. It is an excellent opportunity to take your dance education to the next level by increasing time in the studio, exposing yourself to a broader offering of genres, increasing performance opportunities and dancing on a competitive level. If you love dance and are ready for the commitment and to put in the work, then I strongly encourage you to audition.
Requirements
- Must be at least 8 years old AND entering 3rd grade on the audition date OR by invitation.
- Must have had at least two years of ballet and two years of jazz at LHDA or another studio.
- Must register for and attend the August 5-8 Summer Dance Intensive.
- Must be present at the audition on Saturday, Aug. 10th at 10:00am (Ages 8-10) 2:00pm (Ages 11+).
- Weekly class attendance is required. Selected members must enroll in and attend all ALL Elite OR Apprentice weekly classes (2 Ballet classes, Jazz, Jazz Technique, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical and Contemporary). A maximum of 3 absences per class is allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
